A little Birdie from London reports:

Spoke to my regular principal Nikon dealer in London today. I was told that I need to call back on the afternoon of Thursday 24th when they’ll have the details *of the two new cameras*.

Looks like we’re on!

The bitch about all this is that when they finally announce it, we’ve got another 6+? months until it’s actually available and (probably) completely impossible to afford prices.

So it’ll be more than a year before I’ll be able to get one- and if it’s not FF or similar, then I won’t even be bothering. But at least I’ll be better able to plan my lens purchases.

My personal opinion is that you buy your body for  NOW and your lenses for the rest of your life since they’re the only bit of my gear that is nearly as old as I am and still gets used. So I can’t see buying an DX lenses.
