D3/D300 Group Purchase?
Is anyone interested in a D3 or D300 group purchase?
BH Photo Video has reached out to me a few times and I’m think that if we could get into the double-digits, we’d be able to work a group purchase discount.

I am definitely interested in a group purchase of D300… provided we can have it shipped in November: I have booked on Calumet, but I’ll cancel my booking if I can be sure I’ll get it early.

Count me in, but getting on the top of their list would be more valuable than a discount, as far as I’m concerned. And I can’t really see the motivation for them to give discounts when they’ll be able to sell as many cameras as they can get.

I am already 3rd or 4th in line at my local pro shop for a D300 body. The discount would have to be significant for me to give up my Canadian warranty. But with the Canadian dollar basically at par right now there are good chances that I could save some cash. This is frustrating, because Canadian pricing has not yet been announced, though some retailers are already asking CAD$2100.
I’ll have to sit on the fence on this offer.

Hey NikonD300, did you have this 3-9 days information in your ‘track order page’? Because I have a preorder on Calumet as well, and the only information I have is “shipped: no”

I’ll be interested in a D3 and D300 plus the 24-70 and 70-200 lens. Are we sure we’re going to get a discount? Will we receive first priority to get the body in November? I already have an order of D3 and 24-70 with Ritz, but I’ll be willing to cancel it if I can get a good discount and receive first priority to get the body in November.

1) D3 Body*
2) D300 Body*
3) Nikon AF-S 14-24mm f/2.8G ED lens*
4) Nikon AF-S 24-70mm f/2.8G ED lens*
*All Subject to discount pricing / availability of course
Will commit to a D3 body and also a D300 body only or a D3 body & 24-70mm lens if I can be guaranteed that I will receive it at a significant discount or by the end of November (or within reason – i.e. not waiting on a list still in February for a camera body with money spent and nothing in hand so to speak)
