Remember when the EN-EL4 was dissected? We found it had a bloody RISC microprocessor in it with way more power than you’d think a simple battery would have to have?

That gives you a indication of how complex these things are.  That’s why I’m not willing to save a few bucks and look at 3rd party batteries for my Nikon machines, but if you’re crazy and willing (like some ladies I’ve run across…) then this review will help you pick one out.
