PMA 2008- Several Primes Updated, 17-35mm Discontinued, 70-200mm Updated?
A “Nikon Rep” told Michael on dpReview:
Last December a Nikon representitive told me that several primes are planned to be updated, that the 17-35 will be stopped and that there will come an update for the 70-200 VR. So lets wait and see!
I admit to potentially being off basis here, but the 14-24mm is not a good replace for the 17-35mm focal lengths, imo.
As I await the magical day that Nikon decides to deliver a D3 to my retailer, I put my 17-35mm on my F5 and 17mm is wider than I expect to use more than a handful of times.
Landscape guys may feel differently…
