Hi Matt. Love the site. I was in the Camera Exchange in Melbourne, Australia today and the rumor is that sometime after July 1st the 24 mp D3x will be announced and that it will retail at $7400 Australian [ed: That's ~$7100us]. That is actually only about $500 more than the D3 retails for here at the moment. All the best and lets hope the reality lives up to the hype, Rohan
