New D3 Firmware - 1.12 a/b?

Well this is a bit strange. Root on dpReview says he sent his D3 off for repair and he got firmware 1.12 back:

…My D3 was upgraded to A+B 1.12 firmware by Nikon SA.

I cannot find anywhere on the web this new version for download, or any mention of it. Perhaps a first.

My previous firmware was A1.10 and B1.11 {The new version with New Auto ISO high shutter speeds and vignette control, and firmware bug fixed}

I send the D3 in for Auto Image Rotation, and focus adjustments on 200-400VR.

So far so good, does anyone know what are all the fixes in the new release.

Were there any changes? He says his auto image rotation works now where it didn’t before.

Here’s a shot he took to show us:

This is probably nothing to get excited about- software is frequently silently released (”slipstreamed”) or hotfixed- sent out to people exhibiting only certain issues but not the general installed-based for one reason or another.But interesting just the same.

This is the only camera store that NikonWatch trusts- never any hassle, gimmicks, or problems:
