I haven&#039;t seen any compelling arguments disproving the rumor.  If you look close, the sync cap is not the same as either the D200 or D300 -- it is something new.

Also, in one of the photos the pentaprism housing looks small, but I think that is for two reasons.  First, in the actual product photo, the camera seems to be tilted back a bit.  Compare the area around the shutter release to the same type of shots of a D300 or D3.  It is much more compressed, as if the photo of the D700 was taken from a low angle.  This would make the housing look smaller.  Second, the cameraphone photo was taken from an angle.  In some forum, someone stretched the photo in order to make the lens a circle and the housing became much larger.

Anyway, thanks for showing some moderation on your blog.  Much better than &quot;that other site&quot; that regurgitates every piece of garbage that shows up on DPReview.</description>
