Nikon D700 Unboxing Pictures- Comes With LCD Protector?

What am I missing? Does the D700 come with an LCD protector? The D3 didn’t because they said you didn’t need it- the glass was extra hard– isn’t the D700 using the same LCD as the D3? Or are the Russions getting a protector just because?

Here.

It looks to me like the User’s Guide is in Japanese even though the menu on the LCD is in Russian. But it’s hard to tell whether it came in Russian or whether the user changed the language to Russian.

Was this a legit import into Russia? Or was it carried in from Japan? Nikon does have a Russian office and website: http://www.nikon.ru/home/ru_RU/homepage/broad/site.html
It’s surprising to me that there’s no Russian-language User’s Guide and if there isn’t, is Japanese the best alternative language for that market?
