Next Nikon SLR is DX Format?
Rumor: Next Nikon SLR is DX Format- D400? D350?sd
A great NIkon listserv posting by a reputable person who very well could know says that the next Nikon SLR will not be a full-frame body, but will be DX format. If you’re interested in the list, please mail me.
What’re the specs, when, what price? All unknown at this point.
I’m going to place a bet on an upgraded body like the D300 with something inexpensive added on maybe better flash, integrated GPS, better LCD, wifi?

Well..since the D300 came out eight months before the D700, it certainly makes sense that its replacement would be released first. Also, being less expensive, the market for the D400 will be larger than the market for the D800. Thus the D400 will be released before the D800. I don’t think there’s any great mystery about this.
Having said all that, the next DX camera is probably not the D400. It’s something on the low end.
